Now released, the whole collection of the Yvonne Gown!
This dress is long and sleek. The collar is large, fiabesque and somewhat mysterious as it wraps around your face.
The cloth is bicolour. For each version it has one hue for the inside and one for the outside. Hope you'll like the combinations ;)
The skirt is tight and mermaid like, with a little train on the back. It is resizable via script which can afterwards be deleted.
Makeup with coloured tear included!

Fashion for Life 2011, starting NOW!

And going on through the 22nd of March!
This year there's been a little change in organisation, but I am pretty sure the fair will be a huge success!
All the info you might need (questions answered, list of designers participating, list of events and so on) can be found on Fashion for Life Official Website.
This year's theme is "Beyond Black & White", and we were totally free to interpret that however we wanted. I, as colours-addict, stuck to the theme and contributed EXCLUSIVELY black and white items. Some are from my past years, some are brand new releases that will be available to public first of all at the fair, in their black and white version.

What else is great about this year?
There is going to be a HUNT going on (with hunt items prices 10 to 100L$ and ALL proceeds going to RFL) and many many designers have set up Gatcha kiosks! So with a tiny donation you can get a random item among 6 different ones!

I am on the Ansel Adams SIM, together with a lot of wonderful formal wear designers. [TP to Ansel Adams SIM]

Don't miss the chance to come by and shop for a good cause! The fair closes its door on March the 22nd, so you do have time! ;)

It's Marion, not Marian!

Yes, it's definitely not maid Marian from out dear Robin Hood tale, although she could quite easily 'fit' a wood :)
This new cocktail dress has sleeveless top and a large and full prim skirt made of sculpted panels plus flexi panels that give some movement.

Textures are 100% hand drawn from scratch by me.
I put a resizer script in the skirt, so you can fit it to your own figure and delete the script once you're done:)
The outfit comes in 6 different colours and both as copy/no transfer and transfer/no copy.

The skirt has a semitransparent overlayer over the skirt of a different colour.

Here it is!
Brand new casual dress, dedicated to the lovely Liane Maertens, talented SL model.

Liane dress is flirty yet classy, a bit naughty but stylish.
The top shows a large portion of the left side of the bust, while frills partially cover the right shoulder. The skirt is double-layered, soft and uneven.

As always, it is completely hand drawn and I made it resizable via script which can then be deleted after fitting.

Hello dears :)
I just released my first item in a long time! Gosh, I missed SL during my RL ramblings... and that's why I hope I can be 'backish' for a while.

Sabrina gown is now available in my store in 6 different colours.
It's a delicate long gown with a flower motive printed on the top and skirt panels.
The top leaves a shoulder uncovered, revealing a slightly sheer patch over a portion of the left breast.
The bottom of the dress holds tightly around the body and terminates in a soft and flowy prim skirt.
Matching gloves are included.
It's been all hand drawn from scratch like my usual, and it can be bought as either copy/no transfer or transfer/no copy.
I also added a resizing script in it, so you can adjust it to your shape and delete the script once you are done with it:)

Sonya Cocktail Dress

It's a cocktail dress with a very low neck plunge.
The skirt is right above the knee, poofy, and with a lacey underlayer that matches the colourful stockings (included, too).

Maasai complete avatar at PXL Creations!

Hey hey everybody!
Just released at PXL Creations main store, a full avatar inspired by African Maasai women!
As I promised, I was working together with other designers ;)
Hart Larsson of PXL Creations had decided to create a Deep Tan version of his Efe skin (my favourite!), and being it a very chocolatey colour, he thought it would be cool to make it "special". He added a tribal tattoo on the skin, got some nice Maasai jewelry to go with it, and had me made a tunic that could complement the skin.
So now the gorgeous Efe Deep Tan (both clear and tattooed), the jewelry, and my tunic are ALL available at PXL Creations' mainstore!!!
You can buy each item separately or get them all together!

Cousins... but not blood cousins...

Holà holà people!
Did you forget about me? Maybe, since I drop dead every few weeks (lol).
Well, rest assured: I'm still alive... working on a few things... a project together with other designers, and the revision of an old dress that I didn't make 'good enough' back in 2008.
But while I am lazily working on those things, Miss Smart Ass (cet à dire moi... yes, that's been my plurk name for a while... so I kind of got the 'smart ass' label now lol) has also been having some fun *smirks*.
Particularly, today I got an offline from my 'ass cousin', the lovely Summer Wardhani (also known as Miss Cutie Ass... LOL) asking me to log on and meet her barefoot and wearing a bikini... now, she must have hired some stalker, or how would she know I had been wearing an old bikini and no shoes for my last TOT days in SL?
Mistery... LOL.
Anyways I did go to her, and was half surprised and half cracking up when I found out why she wanted me there in such a mise: she had planned a photoshooting session to finally officialise us being Ass Cousins! LMAO!
She's a super creative photographer, methinks... one that thinks about the shots and adds details here and there to give that extra character to the picture. And I was very glad she hosted me in her cute studio and had me (well, my butt, really) modelling for her :D
Anyways, I obviously decided to change my bikini and wear a thong (yanno... smart asses are smart ;)) so I went on, changed... took my pictures as she was taking hers... and then when she showed me her lovely work, I was like "wait a minnit.... where's my thong?" LOL.
Evidently in her viewer I kept on the same bikini for the whole time. So here I decided to show you a sample of the pictures SHE took and one of the pictures I took. Summer was such a cutie as to edit my shots a bit cause lazy-ass me wouldn't be able to do it as quickly! LOL.
Here we are: 2 ass cousins in silly poses. Yes, I am the shocked one on the right that changes bikini! LOL.

Oh, before I forget, let me remind you all that the HUGE formals' sale is still UP!
Yes, I decided to keep it going some more time, at least until I have some new releases :) So you know you have one tiny reason to come by if you want to grab some of my formals at half price or less ;)

Other tiny bit of news: I have started (only for 3 collections so far) to add my items to slapt.me. It's a new site to buy SL products online, with easy and free registration! You might want to check it out!

Last but not least, remember the RFL campaign is still going on until July! My special RFL items are located at my main store, both near the landind point and at my formals' session. They will ONLY be for sale for this year's RFL, so once they're gone, they're gone :)

Pffft, while I tell you this, my ass cousin left me standing there all by myself... bah, family! LOL.

... yeah, I was a bit disappointed in the end! *giggles*

RFL Clothing Fair is starting NOW!

Woooot, RFL Clothing Fair is now officially OPEN to public!!!
Yessss, and I am on MILAN SIM!!!
That's right! This year the theme of the fair is "Fashion Cities in the world", thus the 8 SIms hosting the designers' stores have been built inspired by 8 great fashion cities.
For this year's fair, I created 4 recolourings of 2 dresses from last year and 2 from the Papillon collection!

Just a quick word!
My retiring sale, that's been going on forEVER, is finally going to end next weekend. Prices down to less than 10% their original price!

Yes, my oldest creations, the items I started my business with, they are all going to be taken off my walls and off XstreetSL in a week.

Preview!

Hey all!
Just sharing a little preview of what is possibly coming by the first days of next week.
It's a short and colourful dress with sculpted skirt.

I am still working on finishing it, but it might be out in a few light and cheerful colours very soon :)

A little information: the sale I am having for the bunch of retiring items will be over next weekend! I think I waited even too long before throwing those things away. :)
So, well, come pick them up if you're still interested! I lowered everything even more!

New release for the papillon collection!

It is a very simple dress in very light and flowery colours.

The flexi skirt is divided in two pieces, one attached to spine, the other to pelvis.

Each option is bicolour, with gloves and under-skirt layer in a different hue.

On the shoulders; optional frilly attachments to complete the outfit.

The dresses are all transferable and hand drawn from scratch, as usual.

Papillon collection 1st release: Autumn!

Welcome back me!
Lol.
For all my loving supporters, customers and friends, here is the first new release after many months!

This new item not only signifies the beginning of my come-back to SL, but also the start of a new collection I will be continuing through the last portion of this winter and most of the spring.
The collection is named "Papillon". Why? I don't know really. I just think papillon is a super cute word. It's cute even when translated in spanish and italian, lol... not so much in english :-/
But then, butterflies are also adorable flying insects, full of colours and gentleness. Very feminine, very fresh, very cheerful. I think these are all great starting points for a good makeover of my brand (cause yeah, folks, Clio has been around since August 2007... it's old!).
Of course, "Clio" will remain my signature on all my items (easy to remember... plus, after 2 years, it's a pity to trash it), but I will group my releases in collections. Each collection will be more or less like an RL fashion collection, and every new collection will have a new name and new layouts/ideas... we'll see what I will manage to make out of this choice of mine :D

The first item I am introducing from my new Papillon collection, then, is a revision of my Starlight Exclusives/Little Black Book Autumn. The boutique has sadly closed, and although RubyStarlight Writer did allow us to sell our creations in our main stores, I decided to leave it as an exclusive item for her own boutique, thus I will not sell it at my store.
This new version has been retextured, and coloured in brighter hues, to fit to the papillon theme :)
Eight colours in total. All very springy and for all tastes.
The skirts are resizeable (via script) and the perms are set to transfer (no copy) to allow gifting... especially as Valentine's Day approaches ;)

I have had some problems logging in due to an RL change of location (with all the mess this implies when we talk of an internet connection!), so I couldn't be present much for all of you.

New design out on my walls!
This dreamy dress is very different from my usual releases, and it's dedicated to an SL friend and fellow designer.
Amutey DeCuir, owner of Bliss Couture, has been a dear friend for a long time, and when I saw the gown she made for Starlight Exclusives I absolutely loved the primwork on the skirt.
I wanted to make something similar, soft, airy and chic at the same time.
That's how I came up with this cute dress with a LOAD of prims flowing gently in the air.
The skirt is not too long while it sits quite high on the waist line. It is made up of three pieces to follow your legs while dancing and ensure a perfect coverage.
The top has a vaporous attachment, as well, going all around the breasts and shoulders.
A pair of sheer gloves is included.

The dresses are transferable, as all my items. The whole collection (six different colours) can also be purchased in a convenient pack to save over 40%.
Top and pants come on all layers.
The whole outfit is quite laggy, or better: although there are gowns or even single hair styles that have a higher rendering cost, this dress surely has a higher ARC than any of my other items. Should this be a problem, the ARC value can be lowered a bit if the central skirt attachment is detached, and/or by detaching the sleeves attachments. These changes don't alter the ensemble too much and will lower the ARC of about 1 third.

Starlight Exclusives: behind the scenes

The time has come to write something about Starlight Exclusives design I baked for this first fall season.

When Rubystarlight Writer, founder and CEO of Starlight Exclusives, contacted me this summer, I felt so honoured that I was given the chance to be one of the few creators selected to make exclusives items to sell at her awesome new boutique.

So, this first exclusive outfit is inspired by fall season.
Here in Italy, fall means a lot of things: leaves start falling, the air gets cooler, days get shorter...
But one particular event that is very strictly related to autumn in this region is the collecting and selling of grapes.
This is what I thought as I was looking for a theme for my design. I thought that instead of focusing on the leaves or on the cold weather, I would let vintage be the protagonist.

Grapes and wine suggested me one main idea of joy, merriment... and folly, the happy folly that arises in you when you have good wine during a nice dinner with friends.
It is not a secret that I have been experimenting with very dangerous leg showing and wild, uneven skirts... so I restored the burlesque atmosphere I had created with my Queue de Paon and rivisited the style to make it fit autumn.
I wouldn't say I made it a Victorian outfit (far from that), but I tried to give it a retro look: something between a witch outfit and a courtesan robe. Both these figures have some folly in them, I thought. A witch is an evil and rather twisted lady, while courtesans... well, I bet they used to have quite a lot of wine:)

As my usual, I went with more than one colour option.
A ruby red version was necessary, since wine -and, to me, wine is mainly RED WINE- had been the starter of all my inspiration.
Then, well, what would fall be without falling leaves? I called my fallen leaves version "Sunset", thinking sunset is that moment in the life of a leaf, while it flows down slowly towards its 'death' when meeting the ground.
The last colour is there to represent the cool air, the windy days that take summer away and clear the way for winter.

This is what was buzzing in Clio's head as she was drawing and arranging prims around her waist, chest and head. I hope people will be able to catch some of the meaning of the whole dress even without reading these words... but maybe they'd need to be as crazy as me for that, and I don't really wish that to anyone (lol).

This is the dress I created!
It has a large, uneven flexi skirt over a tight and sexy corset.
The skirt can be resized 8while the other attachments and modificable.
Transferrable! Makes a great gift ;)

As you see, it's in 3 different colours, inspired by 3 different autumn themes.
I will tell you more about it one of these days (when I have more time to go through the whole inspiration story hehe).

What is Starlight Exclusives?
Starting from August 30th, it will be an upscale boutique selling the creations of many different SL designers.
We were asked by Rubystarlight Writer, owner of Starlight Exclusives, to create a fall-inspired outfit to be sold only at her boutique until the end of the project -next year.
New designs will be introduced in the boutique every season.

Swim suit for the day, gown for the night...

Finally a release after so many months!
I swear, I felt very bad not having time to create... but if RL needs me, I need to be in RL... so, well, let's not cry too much over the many many weeks passed with not a single release :)

This new one I have designed comes from an idea I've had since spring. I wanted to make a swim suit that could also be "turned into" a gown, adding a large skirt.
So, well, here it comes!
The top is on both shirt and jacket layers to fight the horrible shirt/pants bug we still have.
And for the gown version I changed the swimsuit bottom into a pair of glitch pants.
As you can see from the colours, I was really in the need for some summer :) Seven flashy and vibrant colours. I had a lot of fun putting them together, and I hope people will have fun wearing them :D

These new releases are out at my Main Store on Sunrise Island, where they will be 50% off for this first weekend.
The items are also available at my kiosk at Sweetheart Jazz Club!!!

Last days of group&picks gift!

Hey hey folks :)
I am sorry I am being absent all the time... but RL calls and I can't pretend I can't hear!

So, well, while I let you wait for some new releases that should come some time in July (probably around the middle of the month... I already know I will be busy for the first entire week) I wanted to remind you about the gift I placed in my store some weeks ago.
It is free for subscribers and for group members who added my store to their profile. Beware that for the 2 'categories' of people there are 2 different vendors, both located at the centre of my store. Just read the text on the vendor itself to se if it's the one for group or the one for subscribers :) -the gift is exactly the same for the 2 anyways.
I will leave these vendors rezzed in my store for another few days. On Monday, I will get them offline, until I have a new gift ready. If you haven't taken them yet, make sure you do! :D

Mech Angel by Danielle Harrop

My, my!
Isn't this outfit interesting and definitely out of ordinary?
"Mech Angel" is the outfit Danielle Harrop has created for Fashion Designers' Challenge!
She was challenged by Shir Dryke to make an outfit inspired by a Mecha Angel.
I guess I might share what Danielle told me: she had to google those words to actually grasp what Shir might have meant with the string "Mecha Angel"... and if I have to be completely honest, I would have googled it too!
From the net, you can find loads of images of mecha angels being cyber-like creatures with wings... kind of futuristic angel figures (although... ehm... I doubt they are supposed to be 'nice people' :)).

And well, I think that despite her initial doubts, Danielle came out with a very cool tiny outfit that really matches the requirements!

The cloths are all made up of micro chips and computer-like components, giving a very robotic look.
For the wings, Danielle chose a sheer squared pattern, that is also on the little skirt. The overall result is something between a cyber warrior and a sweet fairy... which afterall makes sense. It had to be an angel, and I do expect something sweet and delicate when talking about angels.

As for all the other FDC items, you can pick it up at one of the FDC stores (Road to OZ, Sn@tch City) until the 16th of May... and at Danielle's mainstore after that date:)

Midsummer... Amusements!

I am SO late posting this, but YES! Fashion Designers' Challenge items are finally out!

And after the teasers I had published in the past, here are the actual dresses!
As my usual, I have made more than 1 colour for the outfit, and I also came up with a long and large gown to fully match Mouse Mimistrobell's jewelry (the cute necklace she made would have disappeared inside the ruffles with the original version!).

This time again, I made the gowns available on all possible layers, and the skirt inside is scripted to allow resizing (thank you Wietze Cassini for the script:)).

BUT, before I go on giving more 'practical' information on where to get the items (which are not yet in my main store), let me share with you WHY in the world I had to make such a silly gown!
It's all Samsara's fault! LOL.
Not only cause she was the one dragging me in this awesome event that has been FDC, but also because I was challenged by the very Samsara Nishi to:
"Whenever we are too stressed, laugh is always a good way to dismiss the stress out! I guess the clown is the most primitive and universal profession that uses laugh as the main tool to make his work happen.

I cut & pasted this from wikipedia: "Clowns are found in cultures of any time and place, because they meet some deeply rooted needs in humanity: violation of taboos, the mockery of sacred and profane authorities and symbols, reversal of language and action."

I challenge you to create a fancy and elegant clown costume. With just some few changes, your creation should adapt itself to at least those 2 different situations: a professional clown wearing it to perform his job; and also to a fancy fashionista wearing it to go to a red capet party.

I wish you will have fun creating it !! "

So, I had to make something that could suit both a circus AND a red carpet!
I don't really know if everyone will approve my final outcome, but I was very glad to see Samsara herself liked it :) (plus, Mouse kept encouraging me that I was doing good... so I have overcome my first doubts ;)).

While I had to work on this clowny/funny challenge, Mouse had her own job to do! She had to create a set of jewelry inspired by "A Midsummer Night's Dream" of Shakespeare.
She obviously did it magnificently! I think the flowers shout out "MIDSUMMER!" and their colours have something dreamy about it... what best could she come out with! :D

So, well, right now the items created by Mouse and me, and by the other 33 brave designers who took part in the challenge are all exposed at the 2 FDC stores (TP to FDC at Road to Oz or to FDC at Sn@tch City).
After the final show, on May 16th 6 PM SL time, at Patch Thibaud Auditorium (where you are ALL invited!), we will take down the 'community stores' and the creations will be available at each Main Store:)

I have to thank Samsara once again for organising all this, and hug tight Mouse for being such a wonderful teammate who made the whole process a real pleasure :-*

It's finally out!
You saw a preview of it, and now I finally managed to hang it out on my walls:)
The 7 available colours are shown on the poster above. I added Wietse Cassini's resizer script in the skirts, so that you will be able to modify the attachments even without mod permissions (cause yeah, I am stuck on my no-mod policy...).

Another bit of news is:
I am starting to recolour white and script with a resizer my old items.
I have quite a few items, so I will be upgrading a few boxes at a time... and I am adding a stripe of text under the vendors, saying "These gowns have a resize script inside..." (so you will know which groups of vendors were updated).
I have already done the Queue de Paon items, the Loredana Gown, and the Gwen gowns, and expect to have a few more done over the weekend. I will post news here, on my blog!

Fashion Designers Challenge is approaching!

Yes!
Today is the deadline!

The 35 brave designers who accepted the challenge are finally ready to pack their efforts in the final outfits/jewels/shoes/hair/skins!
Multiple categories, team work and a lot of fun!
The Fashion Designers Challenge was born from an idea of Samsara Nishi, who sent out invites to take part to this HIGHLY unusual event:)

You can read more about it on the official FDC blog.

All the items are to be released on the 5th of May, with a pre-launch (for press and bloggers) on the 30th of April! That's soon!
And I can assure you there will be loads to see and tons to be surprised of!

A big thank to Samsara for letting me be a part of this, and to Mouse Mimistrobell, who has been a splendid team-mate!

RFL Clothing fair, photocontest and my "specials" :)

It's been running for a few days, already, but my RL has been so filled with loads of to-do's that I didn't even have the time to write about it...
What am I talking about?

Of course I am telling you about the RFL Clothing Fair!
For this 2009 edition they have 8 Sims filled with loads of designers' clothes. All to raise money towards a goal of 4,5 Millions L$, which is what last year's Fair managed to raise.

YES! To Pink Shirt day!

So, I finally managed to get my hands on PC and uploaded a pink tank top I am having free in my store for a few days.
Why this shirt?
Because of the Pink Shirt day campaign, which is an RL campaign against bullying. The Pink Shirt day in RL is on the 25th of February, but it looks like it spread a bit later on SL.
Today there was a lot of noise about it on Plurk. Many posts were shared (Berry and many others...) originating from Lawless' post on Pink Shirt Day.

It is a bit late, but I think the message should be sent out, and it doesn't matter if SL's Pink Shirt day is going to be the 9th of March, as far as we speak up:)

I can already smell spring...

My first sculpted skirt! (well, apart from the super tiny Fernanda attachment ^^).

I have stepped back from my crazy and dark experimenting for this time, and made some cute and flowery spring dress.... afterall, spring is coming soon! :)

I wanted to make the dress using a sculpted skirt... and I ended up with this very simple design for it. I am quite happy of how it turned out, and hope you will be, too:)

I made 6 colours that are already for sale here, and the 7th colour (lilac) is reserved for RFL. I will have it as an RFL fund raiser, and it will ONLY be available through RFL till after RFL season is over :)

Here's a new ballgown with a gothic taste!

I don't know what it is about these new lines I am releasing lately, but they seem to be gong more and more dark.
After the misterious and burlesque Queue de Paon, here comes another gown in very rich and dark colours.
I made 7 different options, again, and they are transferable with top & pants on all layers, as my usual (at least lately :D).

I was playing around with the prim skirt of this gown and was still clueless about what textures to use for it... then this whole "dark" idea came along, I tried it... and it worked out absolutely full of personality ;) (at least in my opinion).

The gown looks like a mixture between a bird and a dark princess... I was almost going to find some complicated name for it, but in the end I called it Diane :)

Queue de Paon... Gown!

Yesterday night I had a Spotlight with MODA (which I will be sharing a link to, as soon as the podcast will be available) and I introduced a new design during the show!
It is a less 'crazy' version of the Queue de Paon Tail-Outfit. While the Tail-Outfit is nearly burlesque (and here I have to thank one of my customers for this definition!) this new option is a ballgown 100%.
It still follows the original outfit's inspirational idea, so it is a concentration of vanity, elegance and unicity, but it can be worn a lot more easily :)

Peacock Tail... to be unique!

Yes, girls, I am speeding on the daring highway, leading towards super-sexy!
I am loving outfits that show bare legs, so here is another very revealing and very fashionable item from my clothing line.
A second version with 'closed' skirt will be available in a few days, but meanwhile I released the sexy one ;)

I still like to consider it a formal gown, although it is clearly not the average evening dress.
It can be a wild cocktail dress or a provocative night gown... the choice is yours!
It will certainly not pass by unnoticed ;)

I made 7 colours and once again made top and pants available on all layers.
The dresses are all transferable (hehe, guess what? It's Valentine's Day!!! ;)) and I marked the Blue and the Colours Pack (all 7 colours!) down to 50% OFF for the whole weekend!

Classy and revealing: Loredana

New sassy and formal gown!
This design comes from the many MANY dresses I have seen in videos, magazines and store windows all with a very high front cut, or anyways with very obvious 'legs-displaying'. So, after my dear Gwen, here comes a more 'classy' design.

The textures are as always 100% drawn by me, and I took care of making this dress as real as I could... zoom in on your seams and you can nearly see the stitching:)

The skirt is VERY large and has a second layer of sheer silvery material, to shake up the ensemble, and to still maintain some kind of "castity" to this daring design, as the reasonable neckline and the long gloves do.

I made 7 different colours for this dress. Top and pants are on all layers, and it is transferable, as all my dresses:)

Barbara Gown in store ;)

New formal just released in store.
I love the fluffy feeling this gown has.
The super flexi skirt is perfect for dancing as it is gentle while moving.
The top has a very deep cut in front and a very large hole on the back, revealing a lot of skin without looking too inappropriate.
The pattern on the whole dress comes from a stylized flower I came up with while doodling, and I pasted the actual flower on the bottom of the skirt panels.
The skirt won't show your legs yet it is vaporous and gives a sheer taste.
I added a pair of wrist-length gloves matching the gown's colour.
Top & pants come on all layers, and the dress is, as always, transferable: makes a splendid gift!

Heart of Love goal was met!!!

Hello lovelies:)
I wanted to inform everyone that the Heart of Love goal was met yesterday!!!
I am so grateful to everyone who donated to help this cause, and to the group of wonderful people who have worked to put the whole campaign up.

All proceeds exceding the 'limit' that was imposed back then when we started will be going to RFL.
So, I will have my 4 Jacqueline Bicolour gowns still up for that till tonight, then will change them to regular vendors , and will be giving 100% of the income to Shir. This is a personal choice, not something related to Heart of Love. I just think I can help Shir a tiny bit more by keeping those dresses selling for her till the whole campaign is officially over.
I will still have the donation box in store for a couple weeks, and that is going to collect funds for RFL.

Also, I am going to take down the actual gift vendors tomorrow. I will place a new gift out (my Rezday gift:)) and then will be changing the gift once a week, picking among my regularly sold items:)

First of all, I have a HUGE, GREAT, SENSATIONAL news about Heart of Love!
This morning it reached the supah-dupah amount of 542000 L$!!!

Then, some news about the shows I had/should have had this month!
On the 12th, as planned, I was featured at Mantova Festival.

Then, the show I should have had yesterday night, Monday 19th, was shifted forward to Fwbruary 2nd!
I can invite up to 10 people to be in the audience. I will not be able to attend, myself, due to RL.
I'd be very glad if anyone with a blog or writing for any magazine or similar wanted to go see the show:) It's at 3PM SL time. Also live on slcn.tv:)

Heart of Love releases

Jacqueline bicolour line has just been added on my store walls.
These gowns are something I have been thinking of for quite some time.
I wanted to remake the Jacqueline in new colours, and loved the idea of having a double coloration on the dress.
I always procrastinated the release of these dresses until now.

Why is that?
I found out a young SL content creator, with a very severe disease, is in the bad need to get a heart transplant.
This was shocking news. I am not too close to this person in SL. I have very few people I talk to on a regular basis, cause I am just like that. I keep on my own unless others approach me themselves. But when I realised what was going on I thought "Wait a minute. I have the chance to help Shir from home, doing my usual work".

Luckily enough, some friends of Shir's started "Heart of Love", a charity event dedicated to raising money to pay for Shir's surgery.

I have participated to many fund raising campaigns over the last 2 years. All through SL.
Loads of content creators have been raising funds for big organisations like RFL, Make-A-Wish, National Breast Cancer Association and many more.
For once, I am faced with a charity event that is very precisely oriented towards a single goal: give Shir a new heart.

I couldn't just let it go. I am a little peanut, and the dresses I can make and sell to raise funds are little peanuts, too... but a load of peanuts can make a big difference, and I really hope this action to help Shir will succeed.

I am selling the dresses you see on top of this post for 500L$ each, and I am giving 100% of the proceeds to Heart of Love.

I also have a donation box in my store, to donate smaller (or bigger!) amounts, that will directly go to the fund raising avatar.

Plus, still talking about new scripted things (always by PXL) I have out in my store a mailbox that will collect notecards and will send them directly to my email! Yes! It actually READS the notecard!

Lol, ok... I am not a blogger (not officially, at least), but this challenge that's been going around lately sounds like fun!

So there's the messy content of my huge messy bag (mind, the purse is newish, that's why there was no random piece of paper with random info written on it... that's another 'must be in there' for my purses).

We have...

My huge bag I'm totally in love with.
An umbrella inside a shades-like case (ya never know when Milan is gonna start crying on you).
2 (yes, at LEAST 2) packs of tissues... I am constantly sick :-/.
My shitty 3 years-or-so old wallet (full of receipts.. not too much money...).
My house keys.
2 pair of gloves for my cold hands.
A tube of hand cream (still for my cold hands).
My super super old cell phone.
My tiny and oldish mp3 reader.
A little pen.

Lol, so, well, that's what was in my messy bag in a winter day...
And uhm... I guess I should start considering to replace my cell phone, mp3 reader... or at least my wallet! My stuff seems to be from a museum lmao.

I found this on EFA's blog, and I thought it would be a good idea to share.

Be sure to go by and leave a message for those children: gifting a smile is one of the best thing we can do!

I know this post is not about fashion, but forget the fabulous Christmas outfits, the big diners, the glamour parties and the surprising presents for a while. Christmas is on the way and time to spend some of your time to take a little care of people who will need it in these days.

A lot of children have to stay in the hospital during Christmas instead of being home with their family. You can make these days a little nicer for them by sending a message, let your imagination run free, your message will help to offer some comfort and hope for these children and will put a smile on their face.

How? It is very simple…

The “Fondation Réunica Prévoyance” in association with ”L’enfant@l’hopital” have set up a Christmas Message Tree. Take a taxi to this tree, simply click on the card to write the message you want to deliver to a child (in French or English - don’t forget to mention your country).

The “L’enfant@l’hopital” will collect these message and will take care of delivering the supporting messages to children in various hospitals in France.

Don’t forget to have a look at the drawings of the children too. These cartoons are part of a competition. In January you can visit this place again to vote on your favorite cartoon.

I have released a new dress just yesterday.
This is a design I have had on a hold since forever... months! And I finally found some time to finish it and put it up for sale :D
The top is simple, full of silky folds (as my usual, huh?) and comes on all layers. Same for the pants.
The prim skirt leaves legs daringly uncovered, but being it so large it also makes a good option for a dance in a classy club.
As always, 100% drawn by me.

Make-A-Wish new releases!

So, all this time I have been busy with my usual messy RL, and with THESE new releases I made to help raising funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Many SL designers (including me :)) have donated unique designs, limited editions or new releases that will be sold until the 31st of December, with 100% of the proceeds to help children through Make-A-Wish.

From the Drousilla, with suggestions and ideas from RubyStarlight Writer, I ended up with 2 very special dresses.
Drousilla Fire is a limited edition dress that will be available on the grid in only 15 copies.

Drousilla Night is the One-of-a-kind design I donated. Similar to the Fire version, but obviously unique. It will be up for auction bidding until the 31st of December! Hurry up! ;)

Then, a new release that will become part of my own line after this festival is over, is a big gown.
Floreale comes in 10 different colours, clothing on all layers & sculpted clutch.
I was feeling like big skirt and tiny prints, and so I made a big skirt and arranged thousands of tiny flowers on the dress :D

I have been changing prices nearly all day yesterday, and lowered them from 50% to 75%.

Sorry people... I know this is way too stupid and super-funny... but I couldn't resist.
I am working on a few new releases: there is a charity event coming up, during the Stylista Festival (in December), for which I will donate a new release, and possibly a one of a kind dress, or a limited edition (depends on the time I'll have).
Then, since the Winter Fairytale expo at Vanity Universe is about to start, too, I will have to make some newness for that, as well...

The snapshot is obviously an untouched, unprocessed, deliberately ugly portrait of what Clio looks like while she's creating :D
Takes hours for me to experiment the prim skirts' flowing movements... and that's how I do it! Hahaha.

I might look crazy... I am a bit... drunk by the loads of work going on.

Is it time to coin the term "freebism"?

I don't know if any of you have seen this around lately, the thought of freebies being harmful for SL economics has spread out a lot, and is now something nearly everyone talks about.
You can find it on various blogs by content creators and fashion bloggers: many are disappointed by the new trend of expecting freebies and expecting them to be 'nice'.

I have followed the threads a bit, and thought I would share my opinion as a designer.

I was VERY lucky with all those who came to my shops for freebies... cause I cannot recall anyone being rude about something being 1L$ instead of 0L$, nor I had anyone pointing out seams were not perfect or prims did not move properly.
This is maybe because, even those freebies I have had for ages (which are actually items I created before starting my business!) are things I made with care. Obviously they are not the quality of my latest creations, but they are free, and people have always appreciated them, and I consider it something nice to give out samples of my very first creative steps.

Then I have started giving out for free some items I did dedicate long hours/days to.
The most famous example is my Jacqueline gown in Tobacco... that gown I had released after 2 weeks of work on the dress, when I thought textures were ok but was still figuring out the prim skirt.
I got a load of "Thank you"s from customers, got bloggers interested, got a huge number of teleports to my main store.
And a week or so later, when I had finally finished the prim part -and could release the gown in its full price and many colours- I still got a great satisfaction from it.
People would buy the freebie and then some other colour to show appreciation, or maybe just cause they liked the second colour better.
That freebie has been my only VERY HIGH (lol, hey, at least in my lil universe) QUALITY freebie stable in my store since January... and I still sell many copies of it every day!

After that, since I liked the idea, I released a couple of 'work-in-progress' dresses that were for free in my store for a limited time, and I often make 1 more colour of my new release to hand out for 0L$ (always for a limited time).
This is just a little courtesy I do to show the quality of the design in a non-demo way (although I have demos available for almost all my items...).

What has been happening for a few months, though, is that people got so used to receiving freebies that they no longer show appreciation for them, nor do they accept the gift as it is.
I have heard a lot of designers have been down because people would "expect" the freebies to be FREE (as 0L$), or complain cause the freebie was not "good enough".
This means designers keep spending hours/days/weeks in creating something to give out as a gift, and people are not even thankful.

Why do we do that, then?
The way I release freebies is harmless to me, anyways... cause it doesn't cost TOO MUCH to make 1 more colour when I have the range ready, and I don't need to pay for the cloth I use.
But I think that if it ever happened to me to be treated badly by someone who just picked up something I hand out as a gift in my shop, then "Hey, let's stop it here!".

Now that "It’s unsustainable for business owners if there are thousands of high quality freebies on the grid, as it leads to a culture where a large number of users refuse to buy anything and live off freebies. If content creators aren’t making any money, then there’s no incentive to release freebies." (from Prad Prathivi's blog), then maybe the time has come to start talking about "freebism", as this phenomenon seems a bit too negative to be called "freebie culture".

Embrace gown: NEW colours!

Here they are!
As I promised, not the ordinary colours I am used to.
Apart from the black and white, I went totally crazy, overwhelmed by RL stuff and on the verge of exploding.
Antique, Memoires and Shock are my way of saying 'Help! I wanna get out of here!' and 'I still remember the good old times...'.

These gowns are as always available at my main store, and to shoot the pictures I wore a Crys skin by PXL Creations.

And, let me announce to you all an event that will be starting tomorrow. I had to organise some event to attract people to a cool new SIM, inspired by Sicily, Italy.
And as I was thinking about it, I came up with the idea for a gift hunt!
So, let me introduce to you my very first "Cookie Quest" on Nuova Sicilia!

Almost back from a BUSY time:)

Hello my dears,
as most of you might have noticed, Clio has been absent and hideous for a while.
I will be back soon, my RL has been hell for many many weeks(acually for a couple months, we could say), and I had no time to design nor to be on SL as much as I used to.

I am now at RL work, one of the last hyper-busy days for now. Then back home for a little vacation till next week, so maybe I will still be hard to get in touch with, but hopefully a bit less stressed :) And I will try and get back on designing between the rest of this week and next week.

Just to let you all know: the Passions of Black Swan event came to an end on the last day of February, and the dresses I had made (Embrace) are now available at my main store, as usual.

Then, right now there's a super expo running, for another couple weeks, the Glamour Expo. I was lucky enough to get a spot at this awesome showcase, and have a little shop there with some of my most recent creations displayed.

Also, a shocking news is: I will be trying to work out some basic reselling program, using Hippo technologies to let resellers sell my products at a percentage and get directly the product they want.
This is something I will still keep limited to a few people (ie: you wil not see Clio sold just anywhere), and anyways not yet up, as I only have 1 actual reseller at the moment, and at her place I am not using the easy Hippo system, but had to place the boxes myself.
For anyone who might be interested, leave me an IM inworld:)

Last but not least, let me leave you with some little forecast of what you will be seeing at Clio 'soon':
I am going to make new colours for the Embrace, to make the range a bit wider, and among these I can already tell you: GET READY FOR CRAZY! I am working with really out-of-ordinary colours lol.
Then, time allowing, I want to obviously release some males clothes. And people, trust me, learning the whole new set of shades and cuts for guys' clothing is not something I can come up with at my first try:)
AAAnd, whenever I get some very free time I want to make a new line that will definitely please many on SL... hehe, won't tell you more, cause this idea is very far from happening, but I want to make you curious ;)

Ok, well... I should get back to RL work...

Clio & Sams cross-wearing Black Swan creations!

People, let me show you what came out from a very funny and (at least for me) unusual photosession I had with Samsara Nishi, of Sams Secret Boutique ;)
We got the idea from a post by Ivalde designer, Neferia Abel (see it here), where she and caLLie cLine cross-wore their Black Swan creations...
So we thought "wow, that seems like something nice and funny to do!" and here are the shots I was able to take on that day ;)
I am wearing Sams Secret Boutique Lava Dress, in the 3 different lengths Samsara made for it.
Plus the skin you see on me is Tuli's Fire skin for Black Swan in fair tone (<-- awesome!) :)Hehe... in this shot Sams said I was flirting with the angel.... you know: I was wearing the 'light' version of her lava dress, and got flirty ;)

Here's my friend wearing my Embrace Darkness... isn't she malicious in that smile? I absolutely had to take a picture :)
Then lol... crazy shot!
2 ladies wearing formal dresses shouldn't be dancing like that! Not in public, at least! haha, but we had to start our delirium somewhere, right? And a dance on the catwalk seemed the most natural thing to do ;)
The one I am wearing in this funny shot is the version I prefer from Samsara's Lava Dress: sheer. VEEERY sexy ;)
Woot at this shot... I complimented with myself lol.
Looks like we're 2 dangerous warrior princesses, or anyways 2 gals you would keep at a distance from... we heard a noise and we're scaping the darkness, looking for the disturber.... run if you can! Muahahaha.
And last but not least: me as a lava princess!
I was still looking for the courage to get in the pool... don't worry, I did, and I can prove it! Check out the shots I flickred, and you'll get some more pictures from our shared-trip :)

New show at the Black Swan!

Due to the awesome success of the first big Black Swan show.... here comes a second one!
It's an extra show planned for those who couldn't attend the first show on the 15th (like me... sob).

Hope to see you all there! And hope to be able to get to the show, too, this time... so I will have some pictures to post here for you!

Embrace Gown: let me talk to you about it:)

As I saw Samsara Nishi did this for her great Lava dress, I am adding a few words on why 'embrace'? what does this gown mean to me?
Well, the designs we (me and 20 or so other VERY talented designers) presented for this event have all been inspired by the Black Swan. Wonderful and absolutely *different* sim.
Those of you who know me most likely also know I am a very troubled creator... I get inspired by totally random things, I suffer from lack of creativity at times (and feels AWFUL!), I always find a defect in the making of most of my crazy ideas...
So I am very slow when it comes to making something new. I start thinking what I want to come up with, start experimenting for the prims... then when I find an interesting and well-made prim shape I like, I go with textures.

Now, being picky as I am, I often stop designs even at their very first steps... cause I just KNOW the prim skirt won't look good enough while walking, the textures will not render it too good... and who knows what else lol!

So this time I said to myself: Clio, go on that SIM! And find something that strikes you!

I did... teleported over, got the pass device, had a flight all over the place.
There's tons, millions, zillions of inspiring, weird, halucinogenic (is that even a word? lol) things on the Black Swan. I could go with those lights that circle around right over the water's surface, the lava lake, the ballerina, the baby in the egg (which kind of scares me, honestly), the see through figures of dolphins and birds that look like a dream or a mirage....
I swear, I kept asking myself what to pick!

All those things just reminded me of too many colours, too many shapes that were already 'decided' for them (eg: if I decided to make a lava dress, I would have probably made it red... cause that's what lava would be to me! ... while Samsara managed to give it a much deeper thought).

Till after around 30 minutes of desperate flight around the island, looking for something that could really shake me, I bumped in the 2 giants holding each others.

They are so big, so tall in the exact centre of the SIM that I hadn't even noticed them at the beginning.
A man and a woman together in a steady but passionate embrace.
The idea struck me in that very moment.
I flew around them for a while, contemplating the sculpture that was already suggesting me the ideas I wanted, so I could get to work and start creating.

As an embrace the dress is soft. It moves gently and holds the woman as if the skirt panels were the arms of a lover.
The sleeves are long, because a hug feels warm on your arms, and they are softer and somewhat heavier up towards the shoulders.
Neck and shoulders are uncovered, to show a woman's beauty and sensuality, and a flowered chocker adds delicacy to the ensemble.

I always go for many colours options, cause I love colours. They are a way to express emotions and thoughts (almost like music, if you allow me:)). They are the instruments of a painter, and of us who use visuals to communicate.

I made 3 colours versions for this one... only 3, cause I did not have time :)
But for each I splitted the cloth in 2 and added 2 different textures: afterall, it takes two to make an embrace :)

And that's how I made a dress to express a woman's soul, to say how good (confusing, fizzy, warm, delicate, passionate, soft...) it feels to be held in someone's arms.

Lol, I am not used to writing serious things. Forgive me if I sound silly, but I thought I'd let you all know what this dress means :)

I hope you all will find the time to see the Black Swan SIM, because it really deserves a visit:)

The time for the Passion of Black Swan event has finally come!

Crash Royalties at Clio's!

LOL!
Yes, I know... Clio stays silent for ages, and when she finally makes something new it's a silly joke-top :)
But as I am working on a couple other things, and I am being trapped in RL long hours, I wanted to still release something. So I got the idea from a customer who said long ago: "Why don't you make a T-shirt with Crash King on it? It would be so funny!".
And here it is!!!
I made both tank and T-shirt in 2 lengths, and the shorter on both shirt and jacket layers ;)

Rania Gowns out... my first bridal!

Hellooo!
Finally blogging again, huh?
I have been just SO busy lately... vacation, then the beach in RL...
But most of all, the big news is I moved my main store! Yesss, I am now having it here!!! Come check it out!
I will have some party there soon (hopefully!) with pressies given out and other things... but right now, it's open to public and it is where you can find my new release... my very first bridal gown!
Woot!
I made it in 10 colours, as usual, so it's not NECESSARILY a bridal gown... and it's in 2 different versions with obviously mixing and matching possibilities hehe:)
I am selling them as single packs or together, in a complete package.

New Lucy Dress:)

Hello all:)This is my new dress:)
Finally managed to release something new, huh?
I will try and work as much as I can... but RL during vacations gets busier than ever!!!
And these days it's so hot that sitting in front of the PC is nearly unbearable...
So, anyways, you can get a DEMO for this dress buying from the poster like the one above in my main store.
I made the skirt after watching a 60's italian movie one afternoon.... thought "those large skirts are beautiful!". So I came up with loads of layers to give a full and fluffy look to my SL version of those dresses:)

And since I'm here writing to you all, let me give some credit to the people who made the skin and hair for the posters this time:
